COVID-19 Cases Continue To Increase In Frederick & Washington Counties

The deaths in Frederick County  have reached 105.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The number of patients testing positive for COVID-19 in Frederick County as of Tuesday afternoon now stands at 1772. The Health Department says that’s an increase of 30 from Monday. The hotspot when it comes to COVID-19 in the county is the area in and around the city of Frederick.

The number of deaths has gone up by four to 105 as of Tuesday afternoon; and the number of patients who have been released from isolation is 1,063 .up by 29 from the day before.

Statistics from the Health Department also report   262 cases of the coronavkirus among nursing home residents, and 154 employees have contracted COVID-19. There are so far 60 deaths in nursing homes.

In Washington County, the Joint Information Center reports 410 residents with COVID-19 as of Tuesday afternoon, an increase of 12 from the day before. The number of deaths remains at 12, and 264 patients have been released from isolation as of Tuesday afternoon.

Statewide, the Maryland Department of Health reports 47,687 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday, which is an increase of 535 from the day before. The number of deaths is reported to be 2,217, up by 30 from Monday.
