Governor Allows Restaurants With Outdoor Dining To Reopen

He says staff must take precautions to slow the spread of COVID-19.

 

 

Annapolis, Md (KM) Restaurants in Maryland can reopen on Friday at 5:00 PM if they offer outdoor dining. That announcement came from Governor Larry Hogan during a news conference on Wednesday in Annapolis.

He said restaurant staff must follow public health requirements. No more than six patrons can sit at one table; restaurants must sanitize outdoor tables and chairs., and are encouraged to use disposable menus. All employees must be trained in COVID-19 health guidelines, and mask or face coverings must be worn.

The Governor also said some outdoor athletic activities can resume along with youth day camps. Drive-in movie theaters, and swimming pools can reopen,. all with safety precautions being taken.

Hogan also encouraged all Marylanders to continue to play it safe when it comes to the coronavirus.
