The ramps will be closed between 10 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Frederick, Md. – The Maryland State Highway Administration will close two exit ramps that connect I-270 and Route 85 to perform underground pipe work as part of a $86 million construction project.
The ramp from southbound I-270 to northbound Route 85, and the ramp from northbound Route 85 to southbound I-270 will both be closed Monday through Friday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The work is expected to be complete in mid-June.
The $86 million project is replacing two poorly rated bridges on I-270 with a three-span structure and will widen Route 85 between Spectrum Drive and Crestwood Boulevard. The project is expected to be complete in fall 2022.
