Frederick, Md (KM) A “multi-tiered marketing campaign” called “Frederick Strong” has been developed to help local businesses recover following the easing of restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rick Weldon, President and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce, says this campaign is designed to build confidence among employees who were laid off and are expected to be called back to work, and consumers who may be a little reluctant to resume shopping, fearing they’ll catch the coronavirus.

Weldon says the economy needs to get back on line right now. “It’s time to start that process,” he says. “We’ve done everything we’ve  been asked to do by our government, by our public health officials to try to keep people safe and to try to to protect vulnerable populations. But, my friend, this economy is suffering desperately.”

A “Frederick Strong” website has been developed to  provide  marketing tools to help businesses get going again. Weldon says it contains a number tools. “Social media tools; profile pictures for Facebook and cover  photos; Instagram story videos. You name it. It’s there,” he says.

One tool  is a “Frederick Strong” poster businesses can put  in their stores. “to let folks that you’ve developed safe practices to reopen your business. And you’ve done all the things you need to do to follow all the public health guidance,” says Weldon.
