Meritus Medical Group Says Practices Open For In-Person Visits

But telehealth & e-visits still be available.

Hagertown, Md (KM) The state of Maryland continues to reopen due to an easing of some of the coronavirus restrictions. And with that in mind, Meritus Medical Group is letting residents know that in-patient appointments are available, and that includes outpatient services. Individuals should call ahead and make an appointment. The numbers can fond bound on line at MeritusHelath.com.

Meritus also says telehealth-health and e-visits will still be available as option. This allows patients to discuss health concerns with a provider through a video “virtual” visit, or phone call. Health care providers can discuss any need for an in-person follow-up   visit with individuals during telehealth appointments, says Meritus.

For patients who are taking part in in-person visits, Meritus asked them to be aware of some new guidelines.

*Masks must be worn by  all patients when entering a practice. If a patient does not have a mask, a face covering will be provided upon arrival.

*All patients will have their temperatures checked upon entering the practice.

*Patients should limit the number of support people they bring with them to the appointment. No one attending the patient s should be younger than 18.

*Patients are urged to practice good hygiene before, during and after the visit.

* Patients need to practice social distancing, a minimum of six-feet separation between people.

“Our employees continue to follow all appropriate guidelines from the CDC and Maryland Department of Health for the current COVID-19 pandemic so that patients coming for in-person visits will remain safe in our health care environments,” says Dr. Douglas Spotts, chief health officer, in a statement. . “Our community can trust that our practices, other outpatient services, and, of course, our hospitals are safe an open to all of your needs.”
