Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Increase In Frederick County

But deaths remain  stable.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Health Department says the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Monday afternoon stands at 2,407, which is an increase of 14 from Sunday.

The number of deaths remains at 109; no change from the day before.

The positiviity rate is 4.3%.. That’s the percentage of confirmed cases from all the patients who have been tested over the past few days.

Statewide, the Maryland Department of Health reports as of Monday there are 64,603 cases of the coronavirus since the pandemic began, an increase of 297 since Sunday. The number deaths is 2,945, one more than the day before

The COVID-19 virus is still widespread in the community, and the Frederick County Health Department says citizens still need to take precautions. That includes frequent hand washing and physical distancing. Also, residents need to wear face coverings when entering retail establishments, restaurants, public transportation, personal services–such as barbershops, hair and nail salons–youth camps, swimming pools and sporting events.
