Frederick, Md (KM) The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Frederick County continue going up. The Health Department says as of Tuesday afternoon, there are 2,419 coronavirus cases, .which is an increase of 12 since Monday. So far there are 109 deaths; the same as the day before.
The seven-day positivity rate is 3.9%. That’s the percentage of those who tested positive for COVID-19 from all of the tests administered over the past seven days.
Much of the coronavirus cases are clustered around the Frederick city area, but the Health Department says all areas of the county are reporting COVID-19 cases.
The agency reminds us that the COVID-19 pandemic is not over. It still remains a threat to the community, particularly to those with underlying chronic conditions, or those who work in settings where it’s difficult to practice social distancing.
