Lightning Strike Cause Of Shed Fire In Washington County

 

No one was hurt.

 

 

Knoxville, Md (KM) The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says a fire which damaged a shed in Washington County Monday night was caused by a lightning strike.

Fire fighters responded to 19,240 Garretts Mill Road in Knoxville just after 7:00 PM for an outbuilding on fire. But the flames were out by the time they arrived.

Damage is estimated at $1,000 to the structure, and $1,000 to the contents.

There were no injuries.
