COVID-19 Cases Increase In Frederick County By A Smaller Amount

The number of deaths remain the same.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Frederick County continues, but at a much slower rate. The Health Department says as of Wednesday afternoon, there were 2,425 confirmed coronavirus cases, which is six more than on Tuesday.

The number of deaths still remains at 109 with no increases within the past 24 hours.

But the seven-day positivity rate stands at 4.3%. . That’s the percentage of people who tested positive for COVID-19 out of all the tests administered over the past seven days.

The Health Department says there are free testing centers around Frederick County for COVID-19. They will be held on Thursdays  from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Railroad Square in Brunswick. On Friday, a clinic will be set up at the municipal building parking lot, 615 East Main Street in Thurmont from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

The Asbury United Methodist Church at 101 West All Saints Street in Frederick will sponsor a testing center from 1:00 PM until  3:00 PM on Saturday.

A testing center will be open every day form 7:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Frederick Health Hospital Drive Through at 1 Frederick Health Way in Frederick.

The Health Department says all of these clinics are free, and no insurance or doctor’s note is required. You don’t have to have symptoms,  and the results will be available within one to three days.
