COVID-19 Cases Increase In Frederick County

No increase reported in deaths from the coronavirus.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Health Department is reporting 2,441 confirmed COVID-19 cases locally as of Thursday afternoon. That’s 16 more than on Wednesday But the number of deaths recorded so far remains 109 as it has been for the past few days..

The seven-day positivity rate is 4.6%.. That’s the percentage of individuals who tested positive for the coronavirus out of all of those tested over the past seven days.

The Health Department says free testing clinics are open with no appointment necessary. Those who want to be tested don’t need a doctor’s order, or have any of the symptoms of COVID-19. .

Statewide, the Maryland Department of Health reports 65,777 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which is an increase of  440. The number of deaths is 3001, 23 more than the day before. There  have been 4,874 patients released from isolation.
