COVID-19 Cases Increase In Frederick, Washington Counties

Deaths remain the same in Frederick County.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) As of Friday afternoon, the Frederick County Health Department is reporting 2, 448   confirmed cases of COVID-19. That’s an increase of seven from Thursday.

The number of deaths reported so far remains at 109.

The seven-day positivity rate stands at 4.4% . That’s the percentage of positive tests for the coronavirus out of all the tests administered over a seven-day period.

In Washington County, the Joint Information Center reports 643 confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of eight from the day before. There are currently 26 deaths from COVID-19, one more than on Thursday. 449 patients in Washington County have been released from isolation.

The Frederick County Health Department reminds residents to get tested. It’s  free, they don’t need an appointment, or  have any COVID-19 symptoms. A  note from a doctor is not necessary. Testing will take place on Saturday, June 27th at United Methodist Church at 101 West All Saints Street from 1:00 until 3:00 PM. On Tuesday, testing will be administered at the Seton Center at 226 Lincoln Avenue in Emmitsburg from 12:00 to 2:00 PM.
