COVID-19 Case Go Up Slightly In Frederick County

Frederick, Md (KM) A slight increase has been reported in COVID-19 cases in Frederick County. The Health Department says as of Tuesday afternoon, there are 2,490 confirmed cases locally, four more than on Monday. The number of deaths remains at 110..

The seven-day positivity rate is 4%. That’s the percentage of patients testing positive for COVID-19 among all the patients who’ve been tested over a seven-day period.

The Joint Information Center in Washington County reports 679 cases of the coronavirus, which is 15 more than the day before. There are 26 deaths from COVID-19 as of Tuesday afternoon, no increase from Monday.

The Maryland Department of Health reports 67,559 COVID-19 cases across the state as of Tuesday, which is 305 from the day before. The number of deaths is 3,062, 14 more than on Monday.

The state’s positivity rate is 4.81%.
