Statues At Mount Olivet Cemetery Vandalized

Frederick,Md. (DG) – Frederick Police are investigating vandalism of statues inside a local cemetery.

On Tuesday at around 8:30 a.m. police received a call from Mount Olivet Cemetery saying three Confederate statues were destroyed and vandalized.

There were slogans and symbols associated with “Black Lives Matter” found on the statues.

Police cannot confirm whether individuals from “Black Lives Matter” are involved in this case.

Damage to the statues could be at least $100,000.

    I hope these creeps are caught and prosecuted fully. THAT’S PRIVATE PROPERTY AND THEY SHOULD HAVE TO FULLY PAY FOR ALL REPAIRS AND GET SOME HEAVY JAIL TIME.

    I have a great uncle mortally wounded at the Battle of Antietam buried here. These people that desecrate cemeteries and destroy history are terrorists and belong in the same category as the Taliban statue destroyers and the Nazi book burners.
