COVID-19 Case Numbers In Frederick County Growing, But At A Slow Pace

Frederick, Md (KM) The rate of growth is slowing down for the COVID-19 virus in Frederick County. The Health Department says as of Thursday afternoon, there are 2,501 cases so far of COVID-19, which is eight more than on Wednesday. The number of deaths from the coronavirus stands at 111.

The seven-day positivity rate is 3.1%. That’s the percentage of people who tested positive for the coronavirus out of all the people tested over the past seven days.

The Joint Information Center reports 677 confirmed cases in Washington County, no increase from the day before. But the number of deaths went up by two to 28 as of Thursday afternoon.

The Maryland Department of Health says as of Thursday, there are 68,423 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, which is 505 more than on Wednesday. The number of deaths is 3,086, an increase of one from the day before.
