Small Increases In COVID-19 Cases In Frederick, Washington Counties

No new deaths reported for more than a week.                                                                  

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) COVID-19 cases continue to go up in Frederick and Washington Counties.

The Frederick County Health Department reports as of Tuesday afternoon, there are 2,619 coronavirus cases, an increase of 15 from Monday. But the number of deaths still remains at 113; no increase for more than a week.

The seven-day positivity rate is 2.3%. . That’s the percentage of patients testing positive for the COVID-19 virus among all those tested over the past seven days.

In Washington County, the Joint Information Center say the number of coronavirus cases stands at 731 as of Tuesday afternoon. an increase of five since Monday. The number deaths remains at 29;  no change from the day before.

The  Maryland Department of Health reports  74,260 coronavirus cases as of Tuesday, which is an increase of 737 since Monday. The number of deaths from  COVID-19 is reported 3,202, which is one more than from Monday.

The positivity rate for Maryland is 4.64%, which is the percentage of people testing positive for COVID-19 out of all the tests administered over the past seven days.
