Frederick Comptroller’s Office Branch Office Reopens

It has been closed in March 19th due to COVID-19.

 

Annapolis, Md (KM) The Maryland Comptroller’s Office branch office in Frederick has reopened. The office located in the County Court House complex was closed on March 19th to protect the public health in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic,  .along with the other Comptroller’s branch offices.

Nine local offices reopened on June 1st,  but the Frederick office and the one in Upper Marlboro remained closed. Both are located in county buildings which were shut down  to the public,. Now they have both reopened as of Tuesday, July 21st.

The office in Baltimore still remains closed, says the State Comptroller’s Office.

Anyone who wants to visit  a local Comptroller’s Office branch office needs to make an appointment; no walk-ins are allowed. Citizens should also remember that all branch offices will follow mask and social distancing requirements.

“Our employees at our  Frederick and Upper Marlboro offices are ready to provide outstanding customer service to taxpayers who cannot find answers on line or cannot e-mail or call to address their needs,” says Comptroller Peter Franhot in a statement.
