Coronavirus Numbers Continue  Going Up In Frederick County

But the number of deaths has remained steady for a few weeks.                                                                              

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Health Department is reporting 2,820 confirmed cases of the coronavirus as of Thursday afternoon. That’s 24 more than the day before.

A map on the Health Department website shows most of the cases tend to be in the Frederick City and Mount Airy areas.

The agency says the number of deaths remains at 113, where it’s been for the past few weeks.

The seven-day positivity rate for Frederick County is 3.3%. That’s the percentage people who tested positive for COVID-19 out of all of those people tested over a seven-day period.

For the entire state, the Maryland Department of Health reports 80,836 COVID-19 cases, which is 664 more than on Wednesday. A majority of the cases are in Montgomery, Prince George’s and Baltimore Counties, and Baltimore city,  . The number of deaths statewide is 3,281 as of Thursday.
