COVID-19 Cases In Frederick County Pass 3,000 Mark

Local positivity rate is  one of the lowest in Maryland.                                                                                 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) There are 3,016 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Frederick County as of Tuesday afternoon, which is an increase of six from the day before. That’s according to the County Health Department which also says there are 114 confirmed deaths in the County due to the coronavirus; no change from Monday.

Frederick County also has the second-lowest seven-day positivity rate in Maryland which is 2%.. That’s the percentage of patients who test positive for COVID-19 out of all of those individuals who were tested over that seven-day period.

On the state level, the Maryland Department of Health is reporting 91,854 cases of the coronavirus as of Tuesday. That’s a 710 increase from Monday. The number of deaths is 3,396, which is five more than on Monday.

The statewide positivity rate is 4.4%.
