A Flash Flood Watch is Issued for the Frederick Area

The watch extends from noon until midnight tonight.

The National Weather Service has posted a flash flood watch through this evening. The affected areas include Maryland, The District of Columbia, and Virginia, including the following counties of Anne Arundel, Carroll, Central and Southeast Howard, Central Southeast Montgomery, and Frederick, From noon EDT today through this evening. Up to 3 inches of rain are expected in some areas.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. Do not attempt to drive through standing water.
