The victim was a 78-year-old man. 
Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the assault of a 78-year-old man early Wednesday morning. Edy Daniel Marroquin-Soma, 21, is charged with 1st- degree assault and 2nd-degree assault. He’s currently being held without bond.
At around 5:15 AM, , officers and fire and rescue personnel were dispatched to the 500 block of Logan Street for an assault in progress. They found the victim unconscious with serious injuries. He was medivaced to a nearby trauma center where he’s listed in critical condition.
Marroquin-Soma was at the scene at the time, and was taken into custody. Both the victim and the suspect lived on the same block.
