An over-weight warning portal was damaged by a vehicle.
Thurmont, Md (KM) Roddy Road near the covered bridge is closed.
The Frederick County Office of Highway Operations says the over-height warning portal north of the historic span was struck and damaged by a vehicle on Wednesday night. As a result, officials say the road will be closed until the warning portal can be repaired.
The covered bridge was not damaged.
