COVID-19 Cases Keep Increasing In Frederick County.

It’s nearing 4,000.                                                                                                                                   

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The number of COVID-19 cases continues to go up in Frederick County. As of Thursday, the Health Department says there are 3,975 coronavirus cases in the county; that’s up by 17 from Wednesday.

The number of deaths remains at 124.

The seven-day positivity rate is 2.3% percent. That’s the percentage of patients who test positive for the COVID-19 virus out of all of those tested during a seven-day period.

On the state level, The Maryland Department of Health reports as of Thursday, there are 121,800 confirmed coronavirus cases, which is an increase for 503 from the day before. The number of deaths is 3,765, an increase of one from Wednesday. The state’s positivity rate is 2.57%.

Also from the Maryland Department of Health: 1,239,779 persons have been  tested for the coronavirus as of Thursday, an increase of 8,971 from the day before. . The testing volume is 2,464,927, up by 23,702 from Wednesday. The number of patients hospitalized for COVID-19 is 349, 17 more than on Wednesday. .
