Another COVID-19 Death Reported In Frederick County

Number of coronavirus cases also increase.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Another death from the COVID-19 virus has been reported in Frederick County. The Health Department says there are 125 deaths from the coronavirus as of Monday afternoon which is an increase of one from Sunday. The agency says there are 4,054 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 17 more than the day before.

Frederick County’s  seven-day positivity rate stands at 2.27%. That’s the percentage of patients who test positive out of all those tested over a seven-day period.

In Washington County, there are 1,794 cases of COVID-19, with 37 deaths. Carroll County is reporting 1,952 cases of the coronavirus, .and 123 deaths. In Montgomery County, there are 22, 471 cases with 807 deaths. There are 5,082  COVID-19 cases in Howard County, and 116 deaths.

Statewide, as of Monday, there are 123,880 cases of COVID-19, which is 477 more that the day before, according to the Maryland Department of Health. There are 3,793 deaths, which is up by three from Sunday.

The Health Department also says there are 315 hospitalizations as of Monday, which is a decrease of 13.

The number of patients testing negative for the coronavirus is 1,479,219 as of Monday, which is 8,259 more than on Sunday.

The testing volume is 2,573,607, and that’s 17,902 more compared to the day before. The Department of Health also says 2.58% tested positive for COVID-19 as of Monday.
