Westminster, Md (KM) A 46-year-old man from Westminster was flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore on Monday night with life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a motor vehicle.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office says a 19-year-old man also from Westminster was traveling north on Englar Road near Monroe Street in the Westminster area when the Honda Civic he was driving struck a pedestrian
The 19-year-old was taken to Sinai Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities say a preliminary investigation revealed that the 46-year-old man was wearing dark clothing and not crossing in designated crosswalks.
The Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the crash. Anyone who has information which could help is asked to contact Cp. Prushinski at [email protected].
