COVID-19 Cases Keep Increasing In Frederick County

The positivity rate is still low.                                                                                                                         

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The number of COVID-19 cases continue to go up in Frederick County. The Health Department says as of Thursday afternoon, there are 4,117 cases of COVID-19. That’s an increase of 29 from Wednesday.

Deaths in Frederick County from the conoravirus remain at 125. The Maryland Health Department reports no deaths  from COVID-19 on Wednesday.

The seven-day positivity rate in the county stands at 2.6%. That’s the percentage of people who tested positive for COVID-19 out of all of those tested during a seven-day period.

Statewide, there are 125,510 coronavirus cases as of Thursday, which is an increase of 758  from Wednesday, according to the Maryland Department of Health. The number of deaths is 3,805 as of Thursday. There were no deaths reported in the state on Wednesday.

Other statistics show there were 1,502,690 individuals who tested negative on  Thursday for the coronavirus, which is up by 9, 408 since Wednesday. The testing volume as of Thursday is 2,629,898, which is a  23,985 increase from Wednesday. 331 people were hospitalized as of Thursday, which is a drop of three from the day before. The percentage of those testing positive is 2.88%.
