Dean Rose hopes he can serve Frederick County through the Board of Education

Frederick, MD (KB) Frederick County Board of Education candidate, Dean Rose, has been a resident of Frederick County for 20 years. He has been working with State Farm Insurance for 35 years.

“I’m the Board chair for the Boys and Girls Club of Frederick County, I have been with them for five years,” said Rose. “I’m a volunteer on the Development Council at Frederick Health,” he continued.

Rose says he enjoys staying involved and working on behalf of kids. He also helped coach Varsity basketball at both Urbana High School and Oakdale High School.

“I just felt that with my business experience, as well as my connection with FCPS, that I felt like I could offer a different perspective with leadership, empowerment, and accountability,” stated Rose.

If elected, Rose plans to bring students back to school safely, improve mental health support, boost college and career readiness, restore equity, and become more competitive with teacher pay. Early voting starts today for Frederick County, and the general election is on November 3rd.
