COVID-19 Cases Continue Increasing In Frederick County

Deaths remain the same.                                                                                                                                         

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Coronavirus cases continue going up in Frederick County. As of Thursday, the Health Department says there have been 4,786 COVID-19 cases locally since the pandemic began, and that’s an increase of 38 since Wednesday. The number of deaths from the coronavirus remains at 131.

The seven-day positivity rate is 3%. . That’s the percentage of patients who tested positive out of all of those who were tested for COVID-19 over a seven-day period.

Across the region, the Maryland Department of Health reports that Washington County has 2,304, with 44 deaths. In Carroll County, there are 2,258 coronavirus cases and 126 deaths. Montgomery County reports 25,692 COVID-19 cases with 832 deaths. In Howard County, there are 5,894 cases with 121 deaths.

The Health Department says around the state as of Thursday, there are 143,387 coronavirus cases, which is 962 more than on Wednesday. The number of deaths across Maryland is 3,980, which is one more than the day before.

There are 502 patients who are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 as of Thursday, an increase of one. The number of individuals who have tested negative for the coronavirus is 1,773,461 as of Thursday, an increase of 9,934. The testing volume is 3,361,281, which is 27,779 from the previous day, according to the Maryland Department of Health.
