159,900 Coronavirus Cases Reported In Maryland

Frederick, MD (KB) The Frederick County Health Department is reporting an increase in coronavirus cases.

The number of COVID-19 cases locally, as of Thursday, is 5,373. That is 55 more cases than reported on Wednesday. The number of deaths remains at 132.

The local seven-day positivity rate is 5%. That is the percentage of patients who test positive for the coronavirus out of all of those tested over a seven-day period.

As for state-wide cases, the Maryland Department of Health reported a total of 159,900 cases on Thursday. In addition, a total of 4,112 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19 in the state of Maryland.

Howard County is reporting 6,581 confirmed cases.

2,787 coronavirus cases in Washington County.

2,592 cases of the virus have been recorded in Carroll County.
