Face Shields Donated To The State By Md. Manufacturer

They will be distributed to school systems around the state.

 

 

Annapolis, Md (KM) The State of Maryland now has 200,000 face shields. Governor Larry Hogan was on hand on Monday at Annapolis High School to accept the donation of these products from Maryland Manufacturer Hardwire LLC.

The shields will be provided to the State Department of Education which will distribute them to school systems around Maryland.

“:After spending months ramping up our stockpile of PPE {Personal Protective Equipment}, Maryland now has a 90-day emergency supply of the most critical resources and has distributed more than 78-million units of PPE,” said Governor Hogan, in a statement. “This donation of face shields ftom Hardwire will help Maryland further boost our critical stockpile and prepare our state to face this surge of COVID-19.”

Also on hand forĀ  Monday’s donation was Hardwire CEO George Tunis, President and Chief Operating Officer Emily Tunis, and State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen Salmon.
