Number Of COVID-19 Cases Keep Going Up In Frederick County

Frederick, Md (KM) The number of coronavirus cases continue to go up in Frederick County. The Health Department says as of Tuesday, there are 6, 267 COVID-19 cases in the county since the pandemic began; and that’s 69 more than on Monday. The number deaths from the coronavirus is 138.

Frederick County’s seven-day positivity rate is 5.6%. That’s the percentage of patients who tested positive for COVID-19 out of all of those tested over a seven-day period.

In Washington County, the Joint Information Centers reports 3,706 coronavirus cases as of Tuesday. That’s 41 more since the last update on November 23rd. The number of deaths is 61, which is one more since the last update.

Carroll County is reporting 3,092 COVID-19 cases, and 131 deaths. Montgomery County has 31,622 coronavirus cases, and 893 deaths. In Howard County, 7,542 COVID-19 cases have been reported, with 131 deaths.

Statewide, the Maryland Department of Health reports 185, 464 coronavirus cases as of Tuesday, and that’s an increase of 1,667 since Monday. There were 4,325 deaths reported on Tuesday, which is 32 more than on Monday.

The number of COVID-19 patients who are hospitalized is 1,341, which is 65 more than the previous day. The percent of individuals testing positive for the coronaviru is 6.6%.
