COVID-19 Cases Continue To Climb In Frederick County

Positivity rate is above 8%.                                                                                          

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick County continues to experience increases in the number of COVID-19 cases. As of Thursday, the Health Department says there are 7,249 coronavirus cases locally, and that’s 126 more than on Wednesday. The number of deaths has also increased to 144, which is up by two from the day before..

The seven-day positivity rate is 8.1% . That’s the percentage of patients who tested positive for COVID-19 out of all of those tested over a seven-day period.

In other parts of the region, Carroll County reports 3,442 coronavirus cases and 139 deaths. Washington County is reporting 4,570 COVID-19 cases, and 79 deaths.

Montgomery County has 34,425 coronavirus cases, and 928 deaths. Howard County is reporting 8,410 COVID-19 cases, and 144 deaths.

Across the state, the Maryland Department of Health says there are 205, 399 cases of the coronavirus as of Thursday , which is 2,044 more then on Monday. The number of deaths is 4,606 which is 48 more then the day before.

The state’s positivity rate is 7..68%.
