Frederick County Grand Jury Hands Down 10 Indictments.

Frederick, Md (KM) Ten indictments were returned on Friday by the Frederick County Grand Jury. Two were against Daniel Covey, 50, of Frederick

In one of the  indictments, Covey is charged with 2nd-degree burglary, six counts of theft less than $100, malicious destruction of property, 4th-degree burglary and being a rogue and a vagabond for an incident which occurred on September 28th, 2020.

The second indictment against Covey charges him with 2nd-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit 2nd-degree burglary, theft between $1500 and $25,000 and 4th-degree burglary for an incident which occurred on November 16th.

Covey, along with Rufus Goodman, 52, of Monrovia and Brian Lowe, 50, of Hagerstown, were arrested last month for six burglaries and thefts which took place in Boonsboro, Green Valley, Hyattstown, Ijamsville and Urbana between November 6th and 17th. Authorities say he confessed to three of the burglaries.

Other indictments include:

*Austin Brand Ottney, 25, of Elmore Ohio, whose charged with 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault, use of a firearm in a felony crime, having a handgun in a vehicle, having a loaded handgun in a vehicle, having a handgun on his person, having a loaded handgun on his person, and reckless endangerment for an incident which occurred on November 12th, 2020

*Michael Isaiah Campbell, 34, of Frederick, whose charged with possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, illegal possession of ammunition, having a loaded handgun on his person, use of a firearm in a violent crime, 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault, reckless endangerment and malicious destruction of property for an incident which occurred on November 14th, 2020.

* David E. Titman, 39, of Frederick, whose charged with 1st-degree assault and 2nd-degree assault, for an incident which occurred on November 26th, 2020.

*Clifford Jerome Sanders, 57, of Frederick, whose charged with robbery and theft between $100 to $1500 for an incident which occurred on December 17th, 2019.

The Grand Jury returned three indictments against Michael Meredith Moore, 68, of Greensboro, NC.

*In the first indictment, Moore is charged with 2nd-degree burglary, 4th-degree burglary and theft between $100 and $1500 for an incident which occurred on October 21st, 2018.

*The second indictment charges Moore with 2nd-degree burglary, 4th-degree burglary and theft between $100 and $1500 for an incident which occurred on November 30th, 2018.

* In a third indictment, Moore is charged with 2nd-degree burglary, 4th-degree burglary and theft between $100 and $1500 for an incident which occurred on December 6th, 2018.

The final indictment was returned against Nathaniel Hardy Small, III, 40,. ,of Frederick, whose charged with 1st-degree burglary, 4th-degree burglary, 2nd-degree assault and attempted theft of less than $100 for an incident which occurred on November 16th, 2020.

Prosecutors say an indictment is a charging document alleging criminal conduct, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
