Frederick Police Ask For Public’s Help In Search For Shooting Suspects

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police are continuing their search for the three suspects involved in a shooting Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the 1300 block of Taney Avenue at 6:37 PM, and found a man who had been shot in the upper thigh. The victim was sitting in his vehicle.   After it came to stop, three individuals approached the vehicle. One of them shot the victim.

The 24-year-old Frederick man was taken to a nearby trauma center. He is in stable condition and is expected to survive, authorities say. His identity is not being released for his protection and privacy.

Police say two of the suspects are white males and the third is a Hispanic male. Both were wearing dark clothing and were seen running on foot toward the Applegate Apartments from Potomac Commons.

Police believe the victim and the suspects knew each other and there is no threat to the community.
