COVID-19 Cases In Frederick County Keep Climbing

The number is  getting close to 9,000.                                                                                     

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The number of COVID-19 cases in Frederick County continues going up. As of Tuesday afternoon, the Health Department is reporting 8,966 coronavirus cases since the pandemic started. That’s an increase of 146 since Monday. The number of deaths is at 155 as of Tuesday, three more than the day before.

The seven-day positivity rate is 8.3 percent. That’s the percentage of patients testing positive for COVID-19 over a seven-day period out of all of those tested.

Across the region, there are 6,088 cases of the coronavirus in Washington County, and 98 deaths. In Carroll County, there are 4,260 COVID-19 cases, and 149 deaths. Montgomery County reports 40,062 cases of the coronavirus, and 990 deaths. Howard County is reporting 9,783 COVID-19 cases, and 160 deaths.

Statewide, the Health Department reports the number of coronavirus cases in Maryland is 239,362   as of Tuesday. That’s an increase of 2,401 from Monday  There are 5,039 deaths as of Tuesday in Maryland from COVID-19. which is 61 more than on Monday.

Maryland’s positivity rate is 7.53%.
