Greenbelt, Md (KM) A former US Postal Service worker pleaded guilty on Monday in US District Court in Greenbelt for making false statements to obtain federal employees disability compensation.

He was granted that claim from the US Labor Department, and began receiving $3,227 per month starting in February, 2015.

Over the next three years, Repass filed annual claims for disability compensation, saying he was unable to work, although federal officials say he worked such jobs snow plow driver, a service adviser at an auto repair shop, a plumber and window installer. The US Attorney’s Office says Repass received as $62,690 in Workers Compensation payments to which he was not entitled.

Sentencing is scheduled for March 29th, 2021 at 9:00 AM Federal officials say Repass faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison making  for false statements of fraud to obtain federal compensation. But actual penalties are typically less than the maximum, and a US District Court will make that decision after considering  any sentencing guidelines and other statutory factors, the US Attorney’s Office says. .
