Coronavirus Numbers Keep Going Up In Frederick County

Deaths increase by one for  Tuesday.                                                        

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Frederick County keeps going up. As of  Tuesday afternoon, the local Health Department says there are 9,876 coronavirus cases in the county, and that’s an increase of 113 from Monday. The Number of deaths increased by one to 163 as of Tuesday.

The seven-day positivity rate is 8.7% percent. That’s the percentage of patients who test positive for COVID-19 out of all of those tested over a seven-day period.

In Washington County, the Joint Information Center is reporting 6,838 coronavirus cases as of Tuesday afternoon. There are 125 deaths, which is one more compared to Monday.

The positivity rate in Washington County is 14.1%.

The Maryland Health Department is reporting that Carroll County has 4,705 COVID-19 cases with 154 deaths. Montgomery County is reporting 42,551 coronavirus cases, and 1,026 deaths. And Howard County has 10,370 cases and 167  deaths.

Across Maryland, the State Health Department reports 255,397 COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday; an increase of 2,324 from Monday. The number of deaths is 5,353, a jump of 51 from the day before.

The number of patients hospitalized with the coronavirus is 1,717. The State’s positivity rate is 7.47%.
