Frederick County Continues To See Increasing COVID-19 Cases

Deaths remain at 174.                                                                                                           

 

Frederick, Md (KM) COVID-19 cases keep going up in Frederick County. As of Tuesday, the Health Department reports there have been 10,891 coronavirus cases in the county since the pandemic began; and that’s an increase of 103 compared to Monday. The number of deaths remains at 174.

The seven-day positivity rate is 10.7%. That’s the percentage of patients who tested positive for COVID-19 out of all of those tested over a seven-day period.

The Joint Information Center in Washington County reports 7,667 coronavirus cases as of Tuesday. That’s an addition of 664 since Wednesday, December 23rd. . The number of deaths is 142, which is 13 more since last Wednesday.  .

Washington County’s positivity rate is 17.94%

In Carroll County, there are 5,053 coronavirus cases, and 161 deaths. Howard County is reporting 10,986 COVID-19 cases, and 170 deaths. Montgomery County is reporting 45,341 COVID-19 cases, and 1,068 deaths.

Statewide, the Maryland Department of Health reports 271,061 COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday, which is 1,878 more than on Monday..

The number of deaths is 5,636 as of Tuesday, and that’s 63 more than on Monday.

The positivity rate is Maryland is 8.1%.
