COVID-19 Cases In Frederick County Surpass 11,000

Frederick, Md (KM) The number of COVID-19 cases in Frederick County have gone past 11,000. . The Health Department says as of Wednesday, there have been 11, 100 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began; and that’s an increase of 209 from Tuesday. The number of deaths also increased by seven to 181.

The seven-day positivity rate is 10.8%, . That’s the percentage of patients who tested positive for COVID-19 out of all of those tested over a seven-day period.

Across the region, Montgomery County has highest number of COVID-19 cases at 45,791, with 1,077 deaths. In Washington County, there are 8,005 coronavirus cases, and 145 deaths. Carroll County is reporting 5,101 COVID-19 cases, and 160 deaths. And in Howard County, there are 11,088 cases of the coronavirus, and 171 deaths.

The Maryland Department of Health is reporting as of Wednesday, there are 273,689 COVID-19 cases, an increase of 2,628. There are 5,681 deaths, and that’s 45 more since the day before. The State’s positivity rate is 8.22%.
