COVID-19 Cases Continue Increasing In Frederick County

They went up  by more than 200 over the weekend.                                       

 

 

Frederick Md (KM)  Frederick County continues to see increases in COVID-19 cases. As of Sunday, there have 11, 898 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began. That’s 216 more than on Saturday.

The number of deaths is 190 which is two more than the day before.

The local, seven-day, positivity rate is 11.2%. . That’s the percentage of patients who test positive for the coronavirus out of all of those tested over a seven-day period.

In other jurisdictions around the region, the Maryland Department of Health is reporting 8,633 coronavirus cases in Washington County, and 154 deaths. Carroll County is reporting 5,354 COVID-19 cases, and163 deaths. In Montgomery County, there are 47,575 COVID-19 cases, and 1,095 deaths.  . Howard County is reporting 11,566 coronavirus cases, and 175 deaths.

Across Maryland, the State Health Department is reporting 285,319 COVID-19 cases as of Sunday. That’s 2,148 more compared to Saturday. The number of deaths is 5,826, an increase of 27 from the day before. Maryland’s positivity rate is 9.15%, and the number patients hospitalized for COVID-19 is 1,709.
