COVID-19 Cases Continue To Increase In Frederick County

They are past the 12,000 mark.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Coronavirus cases continue going up in Frederick County. As of Tuesday, the Health Department says there have been 12,190 COVID-19  cases since the pandemic began. That’s 136 more since Monday. The death toll from the coronavirus is 192 which is two more compared to the day before.

The seven-day positivity rate is 11.6%, . That’s the percentage of patients testing positive for COVID-19 out of all of those people tested over a seven-day period.

In Montgomery County, the Maryland Department of Health reports 48,351 COVID-19 cases, and 1,104 deaths. Carroll County has 5,460 coronavirus cases, and 169 deaths. In Washington County, the State Health Department says there are  8,766 COVID-19 cases, and 155 deaths. And Howard County is reporting 11,744 cases of COVID-19., and 176 deaths.

Statewide, the Maryland Department of Health reports 289,758 cases as of Tuesday. That ‘s 1,956 more compared to Monday. The number of deaths is 5,913, an increase of 54 from the day before.

Maryland’s positivity rate is 9.19%, and the number of hospitalizations because of COVID-19 is 1,771 as of Tuesday. That’s up by 20 from the day before.
