Coronavirus Cases In Frederick County Continue Going Up

Frederick, Md (KM) COVID-19 cases continue to climb in Frederick County.

As of Monday afternoon, the Health Department reports there are 14, 325 coronavirus cases in the county; and that’s an increase of 95 from Sunday. The number of deaths is 216, which is one more than the day before.

The seven-day positivity rate is 9.4%. . That’s the percentage of patients who tested positive for COVID-19 out of all of those tested over a seven-day period.

Across the region, the Maryland Department of Health reports 6,348 COVID-19 cases in Carroll County, with 175 deaths. In Washington County, there are 10,549 coronavirus cases, with 181 deaths. Howard County reports 54,515 cases of COVID-19, along with 185 deaths..

Montgomery County continues to have the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the region, with 54,525, and 1,190 deaths.

Statewide, the Maryland Health Department reports 328,214 coronavirus cases as of Monday, which is an increase of 1,769 fromĀ  Sunday.. The number of deaths reported across Maryland is 6,423, which is 29 more than the day before.

TheĀ  number of patients hospitalized for COVID-19 is 1,850. The state’s positivity rate is 8.22%.
