The driver was trapped in his vehicle and had to be extricated.
Westminster, Md. (DG) – The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accident that left a Taneytown man with life-threatening injuries.
Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident on Sunday at 8:40 PM located in the 4600 block of Harney Road.
Investigators say a 1999 Ford Ranger driven by a 34-year-old man was traveling northbound on Harney Road in a section of the roadway with a left downhill curve. The vehicle began to skid, over turned, and then struck a tree. The driver was trapped in his vehicle and had to be extricated.
The man was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with life-threatening injuries.
Police are asking anybody who may have witnessed the crash to call.
