Frederick, Md. (DG) – Local hospitalizations due to COVID-19 are dropping.
The Frederick County Health Department reported over the weekend there were 36 coronavirus patients at Frederick Health Hospital, compared to 66 a week before. The number of patients in I-C-U is 5.
In Frederick County there have been 15, 615 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported since the pandemic began, with 236 deaths.
The seven-day positivity rate has also dropped to 5.8 percent.
According to the health department 21,737 residents have received the first does of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 3,604 have received the second dose. .
