Frederick, Md. (DG) – Local hospitalizations due to COVID-19 have increased.
The Frederick County Health Department reported over the weekend there were 44 coronavirus patients at Frederick Health Hospital, compared to 27 last Monday. The number of patients in I-C-U is 5.
In Frederick County there have been 16,057 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported since the pandemic began, with 247 deaths.
The seven-day positivity rate has also increased to 6.2 percent.
According to the health department 26,404 residents have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 5,797 have received the second dose. .
