Snow Emergency Plan Goes Into Affect At 6 PM Wed. In Frederick County

All motorists must have snow tires or chains on their vehicles when traveling.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM)   The Maryland State Police say the Snow  Emergency Plan will take affect in Frederick County beginning at 6:00 PM on Wednesday.

Troopers say motorist who go out driving need to have snow tires or chains on their vehicles.  Studded tires are allowed  form Nov. 1st through Marc. 31st

When the Snow Emergency Plan is in effect, motorists may not park their vehicles on highways designated as Snow Emergency Routes.

The Snow Emergency Routes in Frederick County are:

U.S. Route 40 (Alternate)
