Hospitalizations Due To COVID-19 In Frederick County Dropped

Frederick, Md. (DG) – Local hospitalizations due to COVID-19 have decreased slightly.

The Frederick County Health Department reported on Wednesday there were 35 coronavirus patients at Frederick Health Hospital, compared to 44 on Sunday. The number of patients in I-C-U is 10.

In Frederick County there have been 16,582 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported since the pandemic began, with 256 deaths.

The seven-day positivity rate has also decreased to 4.8 percent.

According to the health department 30,829 residents have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 13,268 have received the second dose.
