Disturbance Ends Peacefully Wed. Night In Frederick

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police continue to investigate a disturbance Wednesday night which possibly involved shots fired.

Just before 8:00 PM, officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Rosecrans Court. While en route, they were told of a possible discharge of a firearm, and the incident was was upgraded to a weapons complaint. ..

Authorities say one of the individuals involved in the dispute carried a gun  into a residence. A perimeter was set up, and the Special Response and the Crisis Negotiating Teams responded. Police used an armored vehicle which had a public address system to communicate with the occupants in the house. . Both individuals inside the home came out.. They were taken into custody and questioned.  The two  were released without charges.

Frederick Police say they would like to thank the Sheriff’s Office for its assistance with their armored vehicle which led to a peaceful resolution of this incident. They also would like to thank the residents of Rosecrans Court for their patience and understanding throughout this incident.
