One Person Flown Out Following A House Explosion In Libertytown

Ten people were displaced.

 

 

Libertytown, Md (KM) An investigation is underway into a house explosion in Libertytown Monday night.

Frederick County Fire and Rescue Services says at around 8:38 PM, fire fighters were dispatched to the 10500 of Old Annapolis Road for a house explosion. They found a man lying in the front yard with significant burn injuries. He was flown out by State Police helicopter to Bayview Burn Center.

All other occupants were able to get out prior to the explosion.

There was no fire.  .Officials say there was extensive damage to the home and a building inspector was called to the scene.

There were no fire fighter injuries.

The explosion displaced ten  occupants and the Red Cross is assisting.  .
