Two New Meal Distribution Sites Named In Frederick County

They begin operations this week.                                                     

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Two new locations have been designated to distribute “to go” meals in Frederick County. The School System’s Food and Nutritional Services  says the Discovery Shopping Center at 8425 Woodsboro Pike in Walkersville, and the Frederick Shopping Center at 1305 West Seventh Street will begin operations on Wednesday, March 3rd.

They will distributing breakfast, lunch and dinner on Wednesdays only from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM from school buses parked in the center lot. . These breakfasts, lunches and dinners are enough for  all seven days of the week, according to Food and Nutrition Services.

There are 23 school locations that also distribute “to go” meals on Wednesdays and Fridays in Frederick County..

The meals are free to all students 18 years of age and younger, and adults who are enrolled in an education program for persons with disabilities. Children do not have to be present to pick up the food. A parent, guardian or another adult t may pick up the food.
