Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Compensation Review Commission is holding a virtual hearing on Monday.

The panel is accepting citizen comments on proposals to raise the County Executive’s annual salary from $96,000 to $137,000. The County Council members salaries would go from $22,500 to $35,000. Both would have a two-percent cost of living adjustment per annum. These salary adjustments would go into effect after the 2022 election.

The hearing gets underway at 7:00 PM and will be broadcast over the County Government Channel 19.

The Compensation Review Commission is expected to take a final vote on its recommendation on Wednesday, March 17th.

The County Council will then make a decision. It could reduce the salary increases, or reject them. But it cannot increase the salary recommendations. .
